|This information is believed to be valid as of early 2007. However, please bear in mind that it is HIGHLY subject to frequent change.
There are a number of possible variants. Irrespective of which variant applies to you, our GroundSchool JAA ATPL software can help you towards your goals. No matter what applies to you, please do use our software, as it will help you to your goal FASTER.
Please understand that we are not a school and we do not run courses. What we do is make great software that helps you pass your ATPL exams no matter what your situation.
- Some people need to take a full classroom course (and the 14 JAA ATPL exams). This is virtually guaranteed if you do not already hold an equivalent or near equivalent foreign license.
- Some people (typically, those already certified elsewhere) need (by which we mean their best option is) to sign up for a distance learning course. This course may or may not have fixed hour requirements and may or may not have a requirement of a "brush up" review.
- Some people may be exempted from the above.
As such, we are not really able to provide you with career counseling with regards to the ATPL and your current situation, as we approach things from a slightly different angle than such schools and courses do.
What we can do is suggest to you the following. First, you probably want to read LASORS SECTION G. At the time of this writing, this is available at this web address through the CAA. However, if this link goes out of date, try visiting www.caa.co.uk and searcing for "LASORS G" or "LASORS Section G."
If that still doesn't answer your question, you may try contacting an ATPL school. Their admissions officers may help you with the direction you need.
