Question / Issue:
It says on your website that the FCC Amateur Extra question pool expired on 30 June 2005. I want to prepare for my extra test.. should I be worried?
Solution:
Message posted 20 July 2005:
While The FCC Amateur Extra bank was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2005, as far as we can tell, no follow-on bank has yet been issued. As such, we believe that this bank is still 100% in use. We are continuing to actively monitor this situation. If you are planning on studying for your Extra exam, this what we suggest:
-
our software is very likely to be highly helpful in helping you pass. IF and WHEN a revised extra exam pool is published, past experience shows that it is likely to be at least 95% the same as the previous one and the differences will tend to be very very slight.
- so use our software to study, but also do some quick internet searches to see if you see actual news of a new bank. again, we are trying to be on top of this as best as we can, and if we see a new pool we will in short order update our software. If you manage to be the first one to let us know of the existence of the new bank before it comes out and have not yet registered our software, we will give you a copy of Five by Five, free.
- We repeat: our software is highly, highly likely to be 100% what you need to study for your extra class exam RIGHT NOW, but please just use some common sense given the uncertainty around the status of this question pool.
