SAFELOG APP ISSUES ON MACOS 15 - Issue largely addressed but persists on some Macs.

We are aware of the Safelog Pilot Logbook Mac app not starting on some Mac devices which have been upgraded to MacOS 15. You may be getting a message saying that the app is "corrupt" or something to that effect. This is a MacOS bug caused by Apple: as our app is delivered directly from the Mac app store and has been verified by Apple, "corruption" is impossible. Many apps on the Mac app store are affected by this MacOS 15 bug and we expect Apple to shortly issue a MacOS 15 update to address this. In the meanwhile:
  • Please don't upgrade to MacOS 15 if you can delay it for now.
  • If you are affected by the bug, for now just use SafelogWeb.com via your Mac's web browser
  • We are also working on a fix to work around the Apple bug, but it is unclear if we or Apple will fix this first.\

Getting your Safelog eLog on a new device is fast, easy, and free.

Good news! Installing Safelog on a new device or platform is easy and free.

Your single Safelog subscription gives you access to Safelog on every compatible device you own. There are no additional charges or fees for this. What's more, we offer polished, feature-rich apps on each supported platform, which means that you can enjoy a streamlined logbook experience, online or off.

If you get a new device (either of the same type you had before or of a new type):

  • Visit www.PilotLog.com and download the app for the platform of your choice. For certain platforms, such as Apple Mac, Apple iOS, and Android, this is done via the official app stores. The downloads are free.
  • Download and install the app on your device.
  • Start the app. You will be prompted for your username and password.
  • Your log data will be sent from our cloud servers to your device in a matter of a few moments. Once that's done, you can use the app freely.
The entire process is fast and easy.
