Our online Helpdesk is happy to assist with technical and customer-service matters involving our apps and programs.

However, if your concern relates to the learning content itself — for example, a particular question, answer, explanation, calculation, figure, or illustration — please do not submit it to the technical Helpdesk. Content issues are handled separately by our editorial team, and there is a much better way to send them the information they need.

Before reporting a content issue, please work through this short checklist:

1. First, update GroundSchool.
   Use the in-app update feature to make sure you have the latest learning content. GroundSchool is updated regularly, so the issue you noticed may already have been addressed in a more recent content update.
2. Verify the issue as carefully as you can.
   If you believe something is incorrect, please provide documentation or other solid supporting evidence whenever possible. A specific FAA publication, regulation, Airman Certification Standard, manufacturer's document, or other authoritative reference is enormously more useful to our editors than simply saying that an instructor, website, or book gives a different answer.

   We certainly do not claim to be infallible. At the same time, instructors, books, websites, and even older reference material can themselves contain errors or become outdated. A large proportion of the content reports we receive ultimately turn out not to identify an actual error. Sometimes, however, such reports show us that an explanation could be made clearer — and that is useful feedback too.

3. Make sure your concern is not simply about FAA question wording.
   Many of the questions and answer choices used in aviation knowledge testing originate with the FAA or other testing authorities. Some can be awkwardly worded, ambiguous, or contain answer choices that seem unusually similar. Where GroundSchool is accurately reflecting the source material, there may be little we can do to change the wording itself.
4. Report the issue directly from the question.
   In the explanation or review section for the question concerned, click the "Report an Issue" link or button. This is the correct way to contact our editorial team about learning content.

Why is it important to report content issues this way?

Because our technical and customer-service Helpdesk and our editorial team perform very different jobs. The Helpdesk staff can assist with installation, purchasing, account, compatibility, and technical matters, but they are not the editors responsible for reviewing FAA questions and instructional content.

GroundSchool contains tens of thousands of questions, explanations, figures, and other content items across dozens of titles. When you click "Report an Issue" from the particular question or content item concerned, GroundSchool automatically gives the editorial team the context needed to identify exactly what you are referring to.

Even better, your report can be routed to the appropriate member of our editorial team responsible for that particular material. That means less time trying to identify the question, less chance of your report being misdirected, and a much better chance that a legitimate issue can be reviewed efficiently.

By contrast, content-related messages sent to the general technical Helpdesk may not contain enough information to identify the material concerned and may not reach the appropriate editor. For that reason, our Helpdesk staff cannot investigate or resolve content issues submitted through the general Helpdesk.

So, if you spot something in GroundSchool that you believe deserves editorial attention:

Update first, verify your concern, and then use the "Report an Issue" link directly from the question.
