As you may have heard, Microsoft is soon to release a new version of its operating system called Windows 8. This will have, in essence, both a desktop/laptop version and mobile version
for use on its tablet-type device, "Microsoft Surface."
The good news is that by all indications, Safelog is highly likely to be 100% compatible with Windows 8 for desktops and laptops right out of the box. While as with any new operatnig system, there may
be a small period where a few issues need to be worked out, by all indications, Safelog should "just work" out of the box with Windows 8. We tested Safelog on a beta version of Windows 8 for desktop PCs and
it seemed to work just fine. Whoohoo!
If you have Windows8, you can download Safelog for PC from the main Safelog Page. Should you experience issues with Safelog on Windows8, please let
us know about them. During the pre-reslease period of Windows8, we naturally cannot 'officially' support W8 yet, though we'd be highly interested in learning from your experiences.
The even better news is that it seems that Safelog for PC might well also work "out of the box" on Surface devices. However, as these devices have just been introduced and we are working from
announced technical specs only, this determination is very preliminary. In fact, it could be wrong. In that case, however, we've likely got you covered nevertheless. We've been proactively developing
our Safelog mobile apps in a way that will allow us to rapidly customize a version of our Safelog for Android and/or iPad apps into a version for Surface. If the surface tablet gains in popularity sufficient to
appear to warrant a version, it is thereafter highly likely that we will release a version for Surface.
Thank you for checking out Safelog!
