Canada to FAA (USA) Pilot License and Rating Conversion Canadian Versions

Convert your Transport Canada Pilot Certificate to FAA/USA the easy way!

Licensed Canadian Pilot? Our GroundSchool FAA written test prep software and apps for PC, iPhone / iPad, Android, and more will help you convert your Transport Canada Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, CPL (Commercial Pilot) or ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot) license into an equivalent FAA certificate quickly and easily.

To do the conversion, you must meet a few requirements (relatively straightforward for most Canadians) and also take and pass an FAA written test.

Our software and/or apps are 100% what you need to take and pass the FAA written test that is required for you to convert your Canadian License/Rating into a US/FAA one.

“You've helped me ace everything! Thanks!” – LS, Ontario

Our software and/or apps cost about the same as what a book does, but are very significantly more time efficient. Our software and apps work on YOUR pace at significantly lesser cost. No-nonsense. Just sit down and score highly. We've had people report scores of 100% after just a few evenings of using our software and apps. No, you do not need to give up your Canadian license to do the conversion, but having a US license will give you better career and operational flexibility in a myriad of ways.

  • Unlike books and other materials, our software and apps update themselves using built-in self-update features. You always have the latest and greatest available study material from us at no extra charge.
  • Yes, you study here using up-to-date, ACTUAL FAA QUESTIONS. Answers and Explanations written by highly experienced flight instructors and professional pilots. All required charts and figures are included.
  • No delay! Visit the pages below and start studying right away.

Confused? Read this! Each one of the 'Go' links below will take you to a page which contains our FAA (USA) test prep software and apps. Each one of these titles contains preparation materials for multiple tests INCLUDING the test to convert a given Canadian license/rating to its US equivalent. Therefore, if you want to, for example, convert your Canadian ATPL to a US FAA ATP certificate, what you should do is click on the ATPL to FAA Conversion 'Go' link below and then purchase/download the GroundSchool FAA ATP app or software of your choice from the GroundSchool FAA ATP pages to follow. Once you start the app/software, there will be a screen where you can select the specific test you want to study for. Select the 'Canadian Conversion' test from there (in our example, the Canadian Conversion ATP, or ACP, test). This will result in you being presented with a question set to study and learn from that is representative of only those questions that may be asked on the conversion test and not, for example, other FAA ATP tests. The same procedure applies for all conversion exams. Basically, what you want to do is to get our GroundSchool FAA software/app that corresponds to the certificate/rating that you are hoping to conver to. Each of the GroundSchool FAA titles in the box below has a 'Canadian Conversion' test associated with it and prepartion for which is included with the corresponding GroundSchool FAA title.

There are four FAA Canada to FAA conversion tests:

PCP

Study for this by getting our GroundSchool FAA Private/Recreational Pilot Program/App
CCP
Canadian Commercial Pilot to USA FAA Conversion

ICP

ACP

Each one of these tests exists in a test bank of our FAA GroundSchool software / apps. For example, the CCP test is in GroundSchool FAA - Commercial Pilot. Note: As of this writing these are only available for single or multi-engine AIRPLANE only.

To get started: visit one of the FAA written test prep pages above, download, and install the software or buy the app of your choice. When you have it going, select the conversion test of your choice.
