Open GroundSchool. Choose Prepare for Written Test from the main menu.
Select your test and chapters. Continue to the Options screen.
Choose Learning by Listening. Under Study Mode, select Learn by Listening / MP3 Audio. Follow the purchase prompt, then download the audio to your device.
Already purchased audio? Open the same mode to listen. If your purchase is not showing on this device, use Restore Purchases with the store account used for the original purchase.
Already use GroundSchool for Windows?
Open the software's test options and select Learning by Listening to see the audio purchase option.
You can also buy audio here. If you purchased and activated the matching Windows title through our website, have your activation code ready to claim the existing-customer discount.
Which tests are available, and does audio include every question?
GroundSchool Audio is available for the FAA knowledge tests covered by our GroundSchool test prep apps. Choose the appropriate test group when purchasing, then select your specific test in the app or MP3 download area.
Audio is tailored to your test, but it does not include questions that rely on substantial chart reading, figures, or calculations. Use it alongside the study app for broader preparation.
Select your specific test and listening preferences, then download the MP3 files. Transfer them to your own compatible devices as needed.
Can I download MP3 files with an in-app audio purchase?
Audio purchased inside the iPhone/iPad, Android, or Mac app is available through that app. It does not include MP3 downloads from this website.
If you also need website MP3 access, contact our helpdeskwithin two months of your audio purchase. Include your store order number, a copy of the receipt, and your reason for requesting access. Requests are considered individually.
How is the Windows Store version different?
The Windows Store version bundles the app and audio together. When buying the Windows software through our website, audio is an optional add-on that you select during checkout.
The website-purchased Windows app with the Audio add-on includes website MP3 download access. For questions about MP3 access with a Windows Store purchase, contact our helpdesk.
Where can I see prices and payment options?
Follow the purchase button for your chosen version to see pricing. For iPhone/iPad, Android, and Mac, the app and audio are separate purchases; the audio price appears inside the app. For the website Windows version, select the Audio add-on during checkout.
Available payment methods are shown when you purchase. If you own and have activated the matching Windows title purchased through our website, you can claim the existing-customer audio discount using your activation code.
Do you mail CDs, or can I make my own?
GroundSchool Audio is delivered digitally. We do not make or mail physical CDs. If you choose an option with MP3 download access, you can create an audio CD for your own use with suitable CD-writing equipment and software.
You can also transfer the MP3 files to your own compatible music player or device. The transfer steps depend on that device and its software.
Why does the sample repeat questions?
The sample plays each question twice. With the MP3 download version, you can choose no repetition or one or two repeats, and adjust the pause between questions to suit your study pace.
How is the audio kept current?
We update the question content and record new audio as it becomes available. MP3 presentations are assembled for your selected test when you download them, using the audio currently available in our database.
Can I share the MP3 files?
Your MP3 downloads are for personal use. You may transfer them for your own listening, subject to the purchase terms, but may not share or redistribute them. If someone else would like to use GroundSchool Audio, direct them here to purchase their own access.
