| Sep 25 - SafelogWeb Standalone Released!
Major News! SafelogWeb is now available as a STAND-ALONE product. Previously, our web-based logbook worked only in conjunction with our Safelog for PC software. Now, if you don't want to or can't use the PC software (for example, if you are a Mac or Linux user) you can take full advantage of Safelog by using the standalone system. The standalone system comes with a full suite of analysis, reporting, and other tools - just like the PC version! |

| Sep 12 - SafelogWeb improvements
Our SafelogWeb.com online logbook has been getting a steady streem of upgrades over the last few months. Most recently, we unveiled today improved backup/restore and export features. This is all in preparation for releaing SafelogWeb not just as companion software for those of you who use Safelog PC, but also as a stand-alone product for those who can not or don't wish to use the PC software. Look for the stand-alone version to be available in the next few days.

| Sep 4 - 777 Heathrow Incident update
We love the 777. It's a beautiful and well designed aircraft. So, we were shocked to hear of the (nonfatal) crash a BA 777 at Heathrow several months back. Now the UK AAIB has come out with a preliminary rerport on the incident. In a word - fuel ice! An interesting read. |
| Sep 4 - Please don't use IE 8.0 Beta versions
Some of you may have heard that Microsoft is releasing Beta (that is, "pre-release", test) versions of its Internet Explorer browser. Much of our software uses IE internally, but there's no guarantee that Beta versions of IE8 will be trouble-free. Indeed, when IE7 was in beta, there were several bugs in the beta that prevented our (and many other) software from working properly. While, for all we know, IE8 betas might work fine with our stuff, it might also not. For this reason, we encourage you to NOT use beta versions of IE and ask for your understanding that we can not provide support for IE beta users (other than to tell them to downgrade back to stable IE7). Shortly after the full release version IE8 is made available, of course, we plan to support it fully. |
| Sep 2 - Safelog 4.91 released
We tend to release a lot of small upgrades to all of our products regularly without putting a notice on our homepage. Nevertheless, we're letting you know about this small upgrade that adds a number of user-defined small requests, including auto-linking of day/night times, adds a XC field to the Canada version by default, and so forth. As always, it's a free upgrade to registered users! |
| Sep 1 - 10,000th TestPrepStatus result, nice feedback
A bit of a milestone today - a few months ago we unveiled TestPrepStatus.com, a free site that allows students to directly share the results of their FAA written test preparation work with their instructors. The service is completely free and optional. We're happy to report that today we had our 10,000th study session reported into the system, and so we're glad that many of you are finding this utility to be useful.
Today also, we got a nice piece of feedback from SR of Manchester Iowa who aced a few FAA written test with the help of our software and wrote:
Your test prep software is incredible and a must for any student pilot.
