| Key Aviation Forms and other Programs |

Airplanes
fly because of paperwork. Why else would various aviation
authorities make us do so much of it?
At
any rate, here's some forms and programs to help you on your
way...

NASA Aviation
Safety Reporting System (ASRS) form
No
FAA pilot should be without a NASA Aviation
Safety Reporting System (ASRS) Form in
his/her flight bag at all times! ASRS is a wonderful program that
allows for a free "get out of jail" card for inadvertent
transgressions. This program contributes to aviation safety in numerous
ways--learn more about it at the ASRS
home page..

FAA Flight Plan
Form
This
is the FAA Flight Plan form the
FSS briefer or whoever fills out when you file an FAA flight plan.
As such, it's not vital for pilots to see this form, but it's similar
enough to the standard FAA flight Plan form that it may be of interest/use
to some of you. If you're a pilot needing something like this, why
not check out our VFR flight
planning form and IFR
flight planning form which feature the FAA Flight Plan form
built into them.

Two
US customs forms of interest to Pilots: Form
178
and Form 7507
in case you bring some goodies back from your trip.

FAA Aviation
Safety "Wings" Program
The
Pilot Proficiency Award ("Wings") Program is a pretty
neat way to keep pilots safe and get them some quality jewelry!.
Completion of the requirements of the WINGS Program, as outlined
in Advisory
Circular 61.91H, will qualify you to receive a WINGS lapel
pin and wall certificate. Additionally, if you satisfactorily
complete a phase of the WINGS Program within the period specified
by Section
61.56 of the Federal Aviation Regulations, you need not
accomplish a biennial flight review. Of course, to participate,
you need an application form .
